It seems as though I’ve written many pieces in admirations to other concepts, people and perspectives, yet left myself in the dust. So dear Arunita, I shall take you to many places, tell you many stories and swim with you in many pools of sincere
appreciation.
We shall travel, you adventure ridden soul! For your name means the Sun, and the Sun touches all of Earth, and so shall you.
We begin in Chandigarh, India, your birthplace! Your DNA contains strength and amazing courage from your glorious ancestors, who have suffered the most shocking and gruelling hand of history’s wrath. They remain hard-working and resilient, as you have, and all have been blessed with a rich and wise culture, which will carry them with great significance throughout their entire life.
We move to Sydney, in the land of opportunities. Vast and with great variables. Foreign and fast. Your parents take a calculated sacrifice to bring you here. Your life will be better, they hope, and you will be too. You grow up with this sacrifice, initially treating it like a guilty burden, but then realising your absolute luck that your parents wanted to give, so you turn the guilt into ambition. You had a lot of guilt for being the cause of uprooting your parents’ lives, and now you have a lot more ambition to make it worth it. Not only that, but to use your lucky power to bring real change to the world. You want to share your infinite array of opportunities with many others who may never have thought of the possibility.
It is all hypothetical places from now my Sun, but not at all hypothetical words.
Next, we fly to Tokyo, Japan. It is a place of great honour and giant strawberries. You truly admire the cleanliness of their streets and organisation of the public transports. You take it all in, listening to the bustling streets, observing electric lights and smelling cherry blossom? (I truly don’t know, I’ve never been lol). You’ve always had respect for what is better than you and observed openly on how you could improve. Your receptivity to higher wisdom is what brings it to you. Listening authentically, and reading between the lines, that is your art!
Our adventure continues in Copenhagen, Denmark. Your whole life you’ve been told that you have terrible hand-eye co-ordination and you couldn’t possibly ride a bike. But you do! Your favourite hobby is proving people wrong, so to travel to the city completely dependant on bicycles is quite, in fact, liberating. You breathe the crisp and clean air and it is a world apart from the sooty smoke you’re used to. You are again reminded of the human right to breathe. This city shows you what it means to be a city of the future, to engineer and create a place with sustainability in the front seat.
We travel to the depths of the Amazon Rainforest, in the combination of Brazil, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. The iconic flora and fauna captures your love and refuses to give it back! Finally, nestled between the trees and vines, this is exactly where the human spirit is meant to be! You see the depleting land and think of the Amazon Warriors. Although they were said to have lived in Asia Minor in the Greek Mythological age, they share their name with this forest and would’ve defended it with the ferocity of the shared spirit of the Amazon rainforest. You begin to ponder your immense appreciation of the human spirit, but specifically in this context, the female spirit. Constantly disproving history and pushing every boundary there is to push, you feel lucky to be a woman. The harmonious balance of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine energy you carry is further nourished by this thought. If only the world could carry this balance, all war and conflict would end because the internal struggle would end.
We finalise our journey in somewhere in San Fran, USA. The vibrant nightlife calls your name! You dance with strangers and laugh louder than you ever have before. Your slightly eccentric nature isn’t condemned here, but revered! You are finally with people who can match your fun energy. You are reminded that at the base of it all, removing all the excess conflicts, drama and conflicting and dramatic people, the whole point of it all is to enjoy the human experience. That’s it! And, boy do you know how to enjoy!
You make many friends and many memories, finally freed from the current fishbowl of childhood that you are trapped in as you write this.
Fear not my Sun, for you will be free! You write this as a sleepy 15-year-old on a random Sunday morning imagining what life could be. But I feel the urgent need to remind you what you already are!
You too have risen from heart-breaking hardships, like a phoenix.
You have learnt so much, like an apprentice of life.
You’ve caused so much great change, like global warming but if global warming contributed positively to our planet.
I feel the urgent need to remind you what you already are, Arunita!
An extraordinary being.
