Where is my Place?

I am conflicted between two polar opposite ideologies. As per usual.

Today was a lazy and chill Sunday. I ate strawberries, homemade peanut butter cups and delved into the mystical side of youtube.

Where do I, a being inhabiting a human body, fit into the giant jigsaw that is the vast universe?

Where is my place

in all of time and in all of space?

After some vigorous research, I came to these two possible conclusions. Let me know which ones you agree with if any at all.

Here are the two perspectives:

1. Space Dust

The entirety of the universe holds so much, so many beings, so many dimensions, so much. You are just a minuscule particle of the incredibly powerful and mysterious network. A piece of dust.

You could not exist and it would not affect much, not on the grand scale of everything. You could disappear and be forgotten in a couple of years.

That is why you do not need to bear the weight of the heavy cosmos on your puny human shoulders. You do not need to be weighed down with imaginary burdens and useless responsibilities. You do not need to take life so seriously!

Enjoy the human experience, the ability to do whatever you want freely. Realise that when the chains of obligation are released from your feet, flight is possible.

2. The Divinity of Each and Every Soul

You are divine. Your entire life has been carefully selected and put together.

You carry a divine purpose for you. An extremely important reason for your existence, calculated and vital.

Everything you do matters, everything you are matters. Nothing is ever gone to waste. You are incredibly important to the universe and are a microcosm to the macrocosm of the complex and ethereal system of the universe. You are matter and you do matter.

Each perspective comes with its delights and droughts.

In the mind-bending and gruelling journey of truth, I simply enjoy the ride and humbly accept that I am so very lost.

it's kinda fun being lost. i guess being lost comes with advantages of its own. we can enjoy the ride together

I agree with Olivia, the first one kinda says that we don't matter in a way. Yes we should just be able to enjoy human experience, but the second view focusses more on the fact that we are all important and we matter.

I quite like the way that both the perspectives are like opposites. I believe that the second one is more agreeable. Each being has a purpose and that is why it is you are standing there rather than someone else. But I also believe life is a possible ride and we have to accept the good, the bad and the ugly and whatever happens was supposed to happen. Hopefully you don't stay lost for too long xx
